Daisy Ridley Teases The Rise of Skywalker Scene That Left the Crew Shaken

Daisy Ridley reveals there’s one scene in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker that left the crew “shaken.” The highly anticipated movie is now less than two months away from hitting theaters. Ridley is out doing early promotion for the final installment in the Skywalker Saga, making sure she doesn’t share too much information, which should be pretty easy for the actress to do by now. This is the third Star Wars project she has worked on and could very well be the last.

When asked about her favorite scene from The Rise of Skywalker, Daisy Ridley did not hesitate with her answer. She was easily able to recall when and where the scene was shot, along with how it made the rest of the cast and crew feel. Ridley had this to say about her favorite moment from working on the upcoming movie.

“It was our last day shooting in Jordan and the natural light was fading. And it was so exciting. It was just a short scene, we filmed very fast, but the crew was shaken in a way I had not seen before. And I thought, ‘My God, if this is people’s immediate reaction when the scene isn’t even ready, imagine what it will be like to see it in the movies, with the John Williams soundtrack and all that.'”

We have seen a photo from that last day of shooting in Jordan. The image was shared by director J.J. Abrams when principal photography wrapped and featured Rey, Finn, and Poe in an embrace. It’s not clear if all three of the characters are in the scene, but they were all in costume, so they more than likely were involved in some capacity. As for further details about this particular scene in The Rise of Skywalker, Ridley could not reveal anything further.

Daisy Ridley also spoke about the haunting image of Dark Rey that has been making the rounds since The Rise of Skywalker D23 footage debuted. “It’s fun to play someone’s best version, and hence the worst. It’s an amazing thing to do as an actress, but we can’t do it often,” says the actress. When prodded further about Dark Rey, Ridley says, “I cannot tell. But I felt very good. That’s the most I can say, unfortunately.”
