The advancements in technology have made films that much better in the grand scheme of things. From working with film and having to quite literally cut and paste to make sure the film made any kind of sense, to working with cameras like the RED or Black Magic that make the visuals crystal clear.
Then again, commercial cellphones have gotten so good at taking picture s and recording video that they have been used in major motion pictures, like, Steven Soderbergh’s UNSANE and Sean Baker’s TANGERINE.
To prove that fact, the original cinematographer of A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3: DREAM WARRIORS, Roy H. Wagner has decided to reshoot a scene from the film using the iPhone 11 Pro just to showcase the power of the camera inside of it.
At the end of the clip you can see a side by side comparison of the scene featuring Patricia Arquette and YouTube sensation iJustine respectfully.
