Indie developer Blackwood Specter is cooking up a little something for those looking to return to what “made survival horror games truly great”, while at the same time including modern aesthetics in design and player freedom.
Expected to hit the PC in Spring 2020, Skin Witch has the player roaming around trapped in an underground mine. As these things go, you’re not alone. You have creatures out for your blood roaming the mine with you. Luckily, you can kill them, but there’s a catch: You have to destroy their body, or else the creatures will come back stronger than before.
Did I mention that you’ll have limited ammo available to you in order to kill them?
The mine itself sprawls in all directions, with alternate routes and dead ends, making the effort to conserve your ammo (as well as upping the tension) all that more nerve-wracking.
Skin Witch should be hitting Steam next week for wishlisting, so hit up its page here once it’s live.
