Jonah Hill No Longer in Talks to Play One of the Villains in ‘The Batman’

Horror

It had been reported last month that Jonah Hill was in talks to potentially play one of the leading villains in Matt Reeves The Batman, seemingly either Penguin or the Riddler, but Variety is now reporting tonight that Hill has passed on the project. The site notes, “Why exactly Hill is passing is currently unknown.” Clearly, a deal could not be reached.

Robert Pattinson is playing Bruce Wayne/Batman in the movie, which will also star Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon and Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman.

Reeves is reportedly casting a “rogues gallery” of DC villains who will appear in the film.

Reeves and Mattson Tomlin wrote the screenplay.

The Batman hits theaters on June 25, 2021.
