On October 6, 2019, the FBI confirmed that Samuel Little is the most prolific serial killer in U.S. history. Little’s serial killing career went undetected for many years. In 2012, Little was arrested on a drug charge. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) took a DNA sample from him which linked him to three unsolved homicides. These homicides took place in 1987 and 1989.

Little was linked by DNA to many other murders. In 2014, he was sentenced to three consecutive life terms without parole.

So why did Samuel Little confess to ninety-three murders?

Last year he was interviewed by the Texas Rangers. Samuel Little indicated he wanted out of the California prison that he was housed in. So in exchange for a prison transfer to Texas, Little begin confessing to his murders.
