Ashton Kutcher got his start in acting by portraying Michael Kelso on That ’70s Show. He worked on the series for seven seasons before moving to a recurring role for the sitcom’s eighth and final season. In those short years, Kutcher became a highly-sought-after actor as That ’70s Show opened up many doors in his career.
While working on That ’70s Show, Kutcher decided to expand his career with other gigs. He appeared in Just Shoot Me and Grounded For Life before becoming the creator and host of the hidden camera prank show, Punk’d, for MTV in 2003. Following That ’70s Show‘s 1998 debut, Kutcher entered the world of movies. His film debut came in 1999 with the romantic comedy, Coming Soon. Kutcher then appeared in notable films such as Reindeer Games, Dude, Where’s My Car?, Just Married, Cheaper By the Dozen, and The Butterfly Effect.

When That ’70s Show officially came to an end in 2006, Kutcher turned his focus to movies. In the years that followed, Kutcher worked on titles such as The Guardian, What Happens in Vegas, Valentine’s Day, and Killers. 2011 proved to be a big year for Kutcher since he joined Two and a Half Men as a series regular with the role, Walden Schmidt. In addition, he starred in the movies, No Strings Attached, New Year’s Eve, and Annie.
Kutcher notably portrayed Steve Jobs in the biographical film, Jobs, which premiered in 2013. The movie, directed by Joshua Michael Stern, followed Jobs from his time in college up until the introduction of the iPod. Around this time, Kutcher reunited with That ’70s Show co-star, Mila Kunis, and the pair started dating. They got married in 2015 and currently have two children together. Besides being an actor and father, Kutcher sees himself as a venture capitalist. He co-founded an investment firm and has invested in a number of successful start-ups over the last few years.
After Kutcher’s time on Two and a Half Men came to an end, he quickly made his return to television when he was cast in the Netflix sitcom, The Ranch. The series premiered in 2016 and starred Kutcher and fellow That ’70s Show alum, Danny Masterson, as brothers, Colt and Rooster Bennett. The series was renewed for a fourth and final season which will conclude in 2020. Even though Masterson’s character was written out of the show, a number of other cast members from That ’70s Show have made appearances including Wilmer Valderrama, Debra Jo Rupp, and Kurtwood Smith.
