Apple and Pecan Crumble
Serves 8-10
Ingredients
2 1/2 cups old-fashioned-oats
1 1/2 cups (packed) golden brown sugar
1 cup all purpose flour
10 oz unsalted butter, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1 cup pecan pieces
4 pounds large Granny Smith apples, peeled and cut into 8 slices
Juice of 1 lemon
2 tps. ground cinnamon
1 tps. ground nutmeg
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Vanilla ice cream
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Butter 8 small tartlet ramekins or 1 9×13 Pyrex dish.
In a mixing bowl, add oats, brown sugar, pecans and flour. Add butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix well until mixture becomes moist at your fingertips.
In a bowl, add apples, lemon juice, pinch of salt and sugar.
Add mixture to dish. Bake apple crumble for 40-45 minutes or
until oat mixture is brown and crisp and apples are tender.
Remove from oven and cool slightly. Serve in bowls with
vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!
