Kenya Moore fires back at Kim Z

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore was allegedly fired from the show after Season 10 for refusing to show aspects of her private life with her new husband, Marc Daly. Kenya being let go shouldn’t have come as a shock since Marc was allergic to television cameras. Or, at least the ones on RHOA.

But now, Kenya is filming for Season 12, even if it did cause NeNe Leakes to flip her wig. The returning diva is twirling back to the franchise and taking a major pay cut to do so. Kenya is making a paltry $500,000 for the season. She made $1.5 million for Season 10. Ouch!

Unfortunately, it looks like viewers will see some real-life marital drama play out on RHOA. According to People the couple, who married in a sunset beach ceremony on St. Lucia in June of 2017, have decided to split up. Kenya and Marc both gave exclusive statements to People. “It is with profound sadness that I regret to inform my fans that I am divorcing my husband Marc Daly. Due to recent and ongoing circumstances, I can no longer continue in the marriage. My sole concern and focus is and will always be my daughter, Brooklyn, my miracle baby,” Kenya stated.

“She was made in love and true commitment. I ask for our privacy to be respected moving forward,” Kenya added.

In his statement, Marc said, “I have come to the difficult decision to separate from Kenya at this time. Our daughter has two parents that love her very much and in her best interests, this situation should remain as private as possible. I cherish our family’s good times together and will continue to co-parent in a loving way. Rumors, innuendo or false accusations only serve to hurt our family and will be addressed through counsel as the law permits. Please respect our privacy during this challenging period.”

The timing of this seems odd. People reported that Kenya and Marc discussed Kenya’s infertility issues during an interview on The Tamron Hall Show on September 16th. Even Brooklyn made an appearance! Kenya called her husband “the love of my life” as they discussed their IVF struggles.

During the interview, Marc explained, “It’s incredibly challenging because the success rate for these treatments are very low. There’s expectations, but you also have to be prepared for disappointed. So just being there, being supportive, being hopeful, being positive and just being behind her was what it’s all about.”

On November 4, 2018 Kenya gave birth to their daughter, Brooklyn. In a previous interview with People, Kenya said that her husband supported her during her pregnancy complications and her difficult C-section. Doctors had to cut Kenya both horizontally and vertically to stay away from fibroids so that she wouldn’t bleed out.

Marc was having a hard time in the waiting room because he’s one of those guys who can’t stand the sight of blood, so he didn’t want to see the baby come out because he just knew he would faint,” Kenya remarked. “But he stayed focused on me when we were in there. And he never warned me of anything like, ‘There’s so much blood.’ He never panicked. I couldn’t have done it without him.”

I am sad because all Kenya ever wanted was a husband and children, and now she is going through a divorce. Let’s hope that this duo can keep things classy and co-parent well for the sake of Brooklyn. I am sure that we will learn more when RHOA returns. And you know NeNe will have a lot to say!
