Alessia Cara has shared a brand new song called “October.” The new single is the latest track from Cara’s forthcoming EP The Summer. Hear it below.
Cara elaborated on the inspiration for “October” in an Instagram post. “I wrote this song about a very recent period of time in which I felt more aligned than I ever have,” Cara wrote. “It’s about healing and discovering that some feelings are as beautiful as they are inevitably fleeting. So much so that I wanted to encapsulate these ones before they were gone.” Find her full post below.
Back in July, Cara shared The Summer’s lead single “Ready.” The Summer will mark Cara’s follow-up to her 2018 sophomore LP The Pains of Growing. Her debut album Know It All arrived in 2015.
Alessia Cara is currently on a North American tour in support of The Pains of Growing.
