Camille Grammer Confirms Exit From RHOBH & Says That “It’s Kyle Show”

It appears that Real Housewives of Beverly Hills isn’t done with its cast shake-up. Lisa Vanderpump quit the show after she was accused of leaking the story about Dorit Kemsley and the “puppy gate” scandal to a tabloid. The fact that it was Lisa’s longtime friend Kyle Richards that leveled the accusations made it even worse. Lisa also suffered the death of her brother, and more recently, her mother’s death.

To fill the void, two new Housewives have been announced. Actress Garcelle Beauvais and Sutton Stracke will be full-time Housewives for Season 10. Lisa Rinna, Denise Richards, Dorit, Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave, and Erika Jayne will all be back. But one long-time part of the franchise, Camille Grammer, will not be returning.

Camille had quite a memorable year. She got married to David C. Meyer in Hawaii in October of 2018. On the way home from the wedding, the Housewives complained about how Camille was upset that LVP missed the nuptials, but then told a tabloid that she was close friends with LVP. Oops! She also weathered a huge loss when her home was destroyed by the California wildfires. She grieved the loss of her beloved assistant. And Camille called out Dorit on her sketchy financial problems in front of the group. Finally!

Camille had a rough time at the reunion. She confronted the women for dissing her wedding. She also commented on Teddi and Kyle’s close bond. She said, “I just felt that Teddi was like up Kyle’s ass. I’m gonna be honest, I mean I just felt that it was…” Same, Camille. Same.

Camille squabbled with Denise before storming off-stage and trying to remove her dress and mic pack at the same time. It’s not easy! Bravo host Andy Cohen persuaded her to return, but it was clear that Camille was an emotional wreck. She ended up crying in Lisa’s arms.

US Weekly is reporting that Camille was not invited back to RHOBH. She has no friends on the cast since LVP left, but Camille carried much of the last season. On August 29, Camille tweeted, “I wasn’t asked back. It’s fine. I did my time on the show. And it’s Kyles show.” When another fan said that they were shocked Camille wasn’t asked back, Camille knew just who to point the finger at. (We can speculate about which finger she was pointing.) “It was [was] up to Kyle. I’m really fine. After the reunion I didn’t want to come back. It was an awful experience,” Camille wrote.

Another fan commented that Camille should have left the show at the same time LVP did, Camille had an interesting response. “Agreed. My biggest regret was showing up for the reunion. I talked to LVP about this yesterday.”

Right after the reunion Camille tweeted, “True. The ladies at the reunion lack compassion. LVP is a class act. She called me last night to see how I was doing. Class vs trash.”

According to US Weekly, a source revealed that Camille “needs a break” from all the RHOBH drama. “She needs to focus on rebuilding her house that burned down and her marriage. She isn’t going to be the punching bag,” the source added.

In July, another source told US Weekly that the reunion was difficult for Camille. “Camille was not doing well with the duress of the reunion. She was basically melting down because she was under attack and [she] walked off once.”

The source also alleged that Camille made a controversial comment that wasn’t aired. According to the source, “’She said, ‘Do you want me to be sorry because I’m a white woman?’” Her co-stars responded by saying, “‘Camille, do you know what you are saying? That’s not OK.’” Yikes! That is not okay!

The plot thickens, because on August 2, Denise mentioned that Camille supposedly made an insensitive comment at the reunion. Denise tweeted, “@TheRealCamilleG needs to thank her lucky stars that bravo didn’t air some of her comments during the season and at the reunion. My youngest daughter’s biological father is African American I found some of her comments quite offensive.” What puzzles me is why none of this was shown at the reunion.

This is a lot to digest. I had really hoped that Camille would be back. I enjoyed when she let Season 1 Camille come out occasionally. But clearly, with no friends on the cast, and the emotional toll that the reunion took on her, it may be for the best that Camille is moving on.
